RASC News Agency: The University of Boston recently announced that it, in collaboration with the US State Department, will soon host a session focusing on Afghanistani women. The university announced on Thursday, Feb 22, that the session, titled “Economic Empowerment of Afghanistani Women,” is scheduled for February 27th of the current calendar year.
According to the university, the session will convene at the US State Department headquarters and will include the participation of Antony Blinken, the US Secretary of State, Rina Amiri, and Thomas West, special representatives for Afghanistan. Meanwhile, the organizers of this session have emphasized that the program will emphasize crucial investments, participation, and essential policies aimed at accelerating the economic progress, entrepreneurship, and education of Afghanistani women.
This development coincides with the Taliban’s assumption of power in Afghanistan, during which they issued nearly 80 decrees against women, many of which have impeded women’s educational and employment opportunities.
