RASC News Agency: Heather Barr, head of the women’s division of the United Nations Human Rights Watch, said that the Taliban group has not given up on their policies of the 90s and is still continuing them.
According to Barr, the imposition of restrictions on women and girls and ethnic and religious minorities in Afghanistan by the Taliban shows that this group is not reformed and follows the policies of the 90s.
Today, Thursday, August 10, Heather Barr wrote in a tweet that the Taliban group continues to impose restrictions and suppress Afghanistani women and girls with all their might.
Barr added: “It seems that the Taliban group is not disappointed and continues to act and behave the same as 20 years ago when they first took power.”
This human rights watchdog has stated that the ambitions of the Taliban group have increased uncontrollably.
However, Barr makes these statements while this group is not recognized by any country and no country in the world is willing to interact with them with this action of the Taliban group, but this group still adheres to their repressive policies. They have intensified against women and girls.
Before this time, in response to the statements of a Taliban official about the education of women and girls, she said that there was a lot of interaction with the Taliban regarding women’s rights, but nothing came of it.
This is despite the fact that since the Taliban took control of the country, Afghanistani women and girls have been the most vulnerable group of this group’s policies, and their rights are being violated more brutally by this group every day.
It should be mentioned that while it has been nearly two years since the Taliban took control of the country, this group has not shown any kind of flexibility regarding the rights of Afghanistani women and girls.
