RASC News Agency: The Afghanistan Freedom Front has claimed responsibility for an attack on Friday evening targeting a Taliban checkpoint at the entrance gate of the Ministry of Interior, resulting in the deaths of four Taliban members. Earlier, local sources had also reported an explosion near Kabul’s airport.
In a statement released on Friday, October 18, the Freedom Front declared, “The operational units of the Freedom Front are dismantling the false illusion of Taliban security.” The group further reported that two additional Taliban members were injured in the attack. As of now, Taliban officials have made no public statements regarding the incident. Local sources noted that they heard the explosion around 6:30 PM, local time.
The Freedom Front is the second-largest military resistance group, led by Tajiks, that took up arms in response to the handover of power to the Taliban by the Ghani administration and the Americans, vowing to continue the fight for freedom. Over the past three years, this front has claimed the lives of thousands of Taliban fighters in various regions across the country. In their latest attack, the Freedom Front struck one of the Taliban’s most crucial security posts, located in the most heavily guarded area of Kabul, exposing the Taliban’s inability to provide even their own security, let alone that of the nation.
It is worth noting that the Freedom Front’s highly trained and experienced fighters are bravely and resolutely battling for the country’s liberation, with the ultimate goal of creating an Afghanistan free from ethnic and religious terrorism.
