RASC: The International Organization for Peace and Transitional Justice reacted to the words of Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson of the Taliban group, regarding the lack of danger for Afghanistani prosecutors.

This organization, which is headquartered in New York, said in a recent announcement that the Taliban group ignored the Afghanistani prosecutor’s threats and called them “lies”.

This organization recently launched a campaign demanding the transfer of prosecutors and their families, who, according to this organization and international countries, face a serious threat from Afghanistan and neighboring countries, and their number reaches 1,500 prosecutors, to third countries.

This organization had previously said in a statement that the Taliban group has tortured or killed 26 prosecutors and their family members since taking over Afghanistan.

Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Taliban group, said on Sunday, July 30, that the concerns of these American and international institutions are unfounded and called their action an attempt to “depart cadres from Afghanistan and pave the way for human trafficking”.

The International Organization for Peace and Transitional Justice, in response to this announcement of the Taliban group’s position, said that “as an international organization that defends the provision of justice, human rights and peace, it strongly condemns these baseless accusations against the campaign of “prosecutors for prosecutors” which We reject the reflected tweet of the spokesperson of the Taliban group.

Also, this organization has written on its official website that “Taliban group has always been indifferent to threats against Afghanistani prosecutors and now it has started publishing baseless accusations against these institutions.”

The International Organization for Peace and Transitional Justice has published pictures of “Afghanistani prosecutors who have been arrested, tortured and killed by the Taliban.”

In its announcement, this organization added that “contrary to the tweet of the spokesperson of the Taliban group, it has undeniable reports and evidence” that shows a long list of “harassment and killing of Afghanistani prosecutors” during the time of the former government and after the Taliban took control of the country by this group in Afghanistan.
