RASC: A group of female hairdressers protested against the banning of their activities by the Taliban group in Kabul.

Today, on Wednesday, July 19, these women protested in the Shar-e- Now of Kabul under the slogan of bread, work and freedom, and in the videos that reached the media, it is seen that the Taliban group blocked the demonstration by shooting.

In these videos, it can be seen that the Taliban, in addition to shooting, with water cannons and tear gas, are trying to disperse the group of protesting women.

Nearly two weeks ago, the Ministry of Amr Bil Maruf of the Taliban group announced that the owners of women’s beauty parlors across Afghanistan have one month to close their beauty salons according to the verbal order of the leader of this group.

Regarding the reasons for banning the operation of beauty salons, this ministry has stated that its cost is extravagance and hair transplants, plucking women’s eyebrows for beauty, in violation of Islamic Sharia.

It is said that nearly 60,000 women will lose their jobs with the closure of beauty parlors in Afghanistan.

After the widespread suppression of women’s protests by the Taliban in the country, this is the first women’s protest against the Taliban in recent months.

It is mentionable, after the Taliban domination in the country; this group imposed many restrictions from women education and work to closure of the beauty parlors in the country, which faced many national and international interactions.
