RASC News Agency: According to findings from an investigative report conducted by the “World Council of Panjshiris,” the Taliban group has seized 285 residential houses, 13 mosques, and 12 schools in the province of Panjshir. Officials from the “World Council of Panjshiris” disclosed the results of this investigative report in a public online press conference on Wednesday, Feb 14.

The report highlights that in the seized locations, the Taliban fighters and their families have been relocated, with an estimated 21,000 Taliban members currently present in Panjshir province. Based on the research findings, the Taliban group has also appropriated several water springs in certain areas and prohibits locals from utilizing them.

Furthermore, the investigation reveals that Taliban members are patrolling agricultural lands of Panjshir residents, subjecting farmers to harassment and intimidation. The report notes that in areas where they perceive security threats, the Taliban has compelled residents to evacuate their homes. According to the report, several local markets have also been taken over by the Taliban, as they procure all their necessities externally.

The “World Council of Panjshiris” asserts that the military and non-military seizures fall under the purview of Articles 7 and 8 of the International Criminal Court Statute as war crimes and violations of human rights. The council calls for the Taliban group to be prosecuted in the International Criminal Court in The Hague, amidst severe restrictions imposed by the Taliban following their takeover of the Panjshir valley, depriving residents of access to many facilities.
