RASC: Bryn Mast, an American senator, has called this group a terrorist at the same time as the Taliban group’s officials traveled to Qatar to meet and talk with American representatives.
Emphasizing his words, this American senator said that the Taliban group itself is a terrorist group and America cannot look at it as a friend.
Mr. Mast, on Saturday night, July 29, in an interview with an international media, stated that America will never accept the Taliban group as a friend.
The American lawmaker said that the enmity of the Taliban group with ISIS does not mean that this group is friendly with Washington.
Mast added: “In my opinion, we should consider the fact that the Taliban group themselves are terrorists and we are not in a position to say that the enemy of our enemy is our friend.”
Regarding the meeting of the US special representatives with some leaders of the Taliban group in Doha, he stated that there is not much cooperation between the US and the Taliban group in the fight against ISIS and other terrorists.
Bryn Mast also stated: “It is very clear that the Taliban group is paying compensation to Al-Qaeda.”
This American legislator said that in his opinion, Uzbekistan, China, Russia and other countries are trying to keep Washington away from the region.
Earlier, Mast called the disastrous withdrawal of America from Afghanistan as an experience for the future of this country.
In this conversation, he asked the Biden government to provide the ground for the safe transfer of the Afghanistani colleagues of this country’s forces.
