RASC News Agency: The recent expulsion of Afghanistani immigrants from Iran has emerged as a matter of grave concern. The commander of the Khorasan Razavi border guard has provided an update, revealing that more than 60,000 Afghanistani nationals have been deported from Iran in the past month. In a proactive response to the issue of illegal presence, the border guards of the Taibad Regiment, in conjunction with the provincial police, have taken measures to identify and address unauthorized individuals.
The Border Guards of the Taibad Border Regiment have repatriated 60,380 Afghanistani nationals who were illegally present in the country, utilizing the Dogharon border as the point of egress. They were subsequently handed over to the representative of Afghanistan. It is underscored that all foreign citizens must adhere to legal entry and exit procedures, obtaining the requisite permissions.
The underlying factors contributing to the substantial exodus of Afghanistani citizens from their homeland to neighboring countries and the broader region are intricate. Decades of persistent conflict, a dearth of viable employment opportunities, and the recent ascendancy of the Taliban group have collectively fueled this migration. The imposition of stringent restrictions by the Taliban has further compelled Afghanistani citizens to seek sanctuary elsewhere. It is imperative to recognize the escalating trend of arbitrary deportations of Afghanistani citizens from neighboring countries and the broader region.
For instance, Pakistan recently announced the deportation of nearly half a million Afghanistani citizens who were residing there without legal authorization. This development underscores the formidable challenges faced by Afghanistani nationals and underscores the imperative for comprehensive solutions to redress their plight.
