RASC: A restaurant in Kabul managed by women that serves women only, at the same time as the Taliban expand work restrictions against women the manager of this restaurant says that she is trying to expand the representatives of this restaurant in other provinces as well.

“Afghanistani Women’s Restaurant” is a place that started working at the peak of women’s deprivation and is a window for some of them to continue their work.

After the restrictions of the Taliban group for women to go to parks and gardens, the small space of this restaurant has become a great hope for the women of Kabul.

Samira Mohammadi, the manager of “Afghanistani Women’s Restaurant”, says: “Customers are satisfied here because other restaurants have male employees and places like parks are closed to women.”

This restaurant has five female employees; Girls who have been denied further education and are now working in it to earn a living.

Sahar Akbari, a resident of Kabul, said: “As a girl from Afghanistan, I support all women. I am ready to be their first customer no matter what.”

The concern of the manager of this restaurant is that the Taliban group will stop them from doing this.

Women’s rights activist Moloda Tawana believes: “Afghanistani women have been subjected to the worst and most severe deprivations by the Taliban.”

These women say that with this small business, they have tried to shine a light for a better future in the midst of a wave of darkness and be a hope for the mobility of other women in Afghanistan.
