RASC News Agency: The bodies of a woman and her grandchild were discovered a week ago in the village of Tangi Shadan in Allahyar District, Ghor Province. Several sources reported at the time that the woman had disappeared during the night approximately two months earlier. In the latest developments, local sources claim that this woman was murdered by individuals associated with the Taliban’s district mayor due to her possession of jewelry and one million kabuli rupees.

According to these sources, the woman was a widow living with her grandchild in a remote village. When her relatives approached the Taliban office in Firozkoh, the provincial governor allegedly stated that there was insufficient evidence and questioned why the woman remained a widow and had not remarried. Local sources in Allahyar District of Ghor Province have accused individuals linked to Mawlawi Jaber, the Taliban mayor of the district, of the murder following the discovery of the 45-year-old woman and her grandchild’s bodies.

They allege that after the murder, this Taliban official relocated the family of one of his associates, who lived near the woman, to another village. The report refrains from naming the accused individual; however, local residents have identified him as the primary suspect, noting that the bodies were found on his land and that he was the woman’s only neighbor.

Previously, similar incidents have occurred, with sources implicating the Taliban in these crimes.
