RASC: The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan, led by Ahmad Masoud, has announced the release of four members of the Taliban group by the forces of this front through the mediation of Badakhshan elders.

Last night, on July 21, this front published a statement saying that “the brave forces of the National Resistance Front surprised and captured a group of four members of the Taliban terrorist group during an ambush in Farghamanj area of Jorm district of Badakhshan province at around two o’clock last night.”

Based on the announcement, the national resistance forces, after capturing the weapons and ammunition, released them yesterday, Friday, 21 of July, after the intercession of the nobles of the place.

This front added that its forces treated prisoners with respect to the laws of war and the teachings of the holy religion of Islam.

This is despite the fact that the Taliban group, contrary to all principles of warfare and Islam, arrests and destroys many young people, especially in the central, northern and northeastern provinces of the country, just because they are members of the resistance front and other groups opposed to this group.

Not long ago, Amnesty International said in a report that the Taliban group committed war crimes in Panjshir province, the origin of the resistance front.

It should be noted that the resistance front and the Taliban group occasionally clashed in different parts of the country after this group invaded the country and claimed each other’s casualties. Meanwhile, the Taliban group arrested more citizens of Tajik origin on the charge of cooperation and membership in this front.
