RASC News Agency: The Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs has recently summoned Sardar Ahmad Shakib, the Taliban’s ambassador in Islamabad, in response to the recent attack in Bannu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which targeted the Pakistani army. According to a statement released by the Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs on November 28, the perpetrator of this attack has been identified as Hafiz Gul Bahadur, an Afghanistani citizen, and the Taliban is urged to apprehend and extradite him to Pakistan.

As per the statement, an immediate and comprehensive investigation, along with practical measures against the attackers and the sanctuaries of terrorist groups, is expected from the Taliban. Meanwhile, the Pakistani government has once again addressed the Taliban in Afghanistan, emphasizing that they must prevent terrorist groups from exploiting Afghanistan soil to harm Pakistan.

It is worth noting that the Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Taliban’s ambassador in Islamabad after the Pakistani army previously reported that the perpetrator of the suicide attack in Bannu was of Afghanistani origin. However, it should be mentioned that Islamabad had previously acknowledged that the country witnessed a significant increase in terrorist attacks following the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan.

While the Taliban has consistently claimed not to allow terrorist groups to operate within Afghanistan, reports indicate the active presence of terrorist organizations, particularly ISIS, in the country.

Furthermore, it is noteworthy that Pakistani authorities have repeatedly urged the Taliban to take concrete actions against the Pakistani Taliban operating in Afghanistan. However, the Taliban contends that they are not responsible for securing Pakistan.
