RASC: Following the prohibition of the activities of women’s beauty salons by the Taliban group in the country, the agents of this group in Nimroz province warned female hair stylists about the continuation of their activities.

On Monday, July 17, the Department of the so-called Taliban group published a report saying that the agents of this department in Nimiroz province have made “necessary recommendations” for female hairdressers.

The agents of this group in Nimroz province have told the female hairdressers that all of them should end their activities in a certain time based on the decree issued.

According to this report, if the female beauty parlors disobey this order, they will be dealt with “legally”.

The banning of the activities of women’s beauty salons by the Taliban group was met with many reactions. A number of female hairdressers in the city of Kabul, in a protest meeting, asked the leadership of the Taliban group to withdraw this order.

In this protest meeting, they said that the decree banning the operation of women’s beauty salons increases unemployment and aggravates economic poverty in the country.

They also emphasized that most female hairdressers are the sole breadwinners of their families and have no other supporters.

On the other hand, the Taliban group not only ignored the demands of the women beauty parlors, but also tried to reduce the intensity of the women’s protests by using their propaganda tools.

After the decree banning women’s beauty salons in the country became a reaction, the administration of the so-called Taliban group also published interviews of two women in which they opposed women’s makeup and going to beauty salons.
