RASC: Hassan Kazemi Qomi, Iran’s ambassador and special representative for Afghanistan, says that the policies of the Taliban group have led to an increase in the problems of illegal immigrants, narcotic production and increased insecurity in Afghanistan.
Qomi criticized the performance of the Taliban group in the affairs of illegal immigrants, narcotics and insecurity and called for the formation of an inclusive government in Afghanistan.
Iran’s representative in Afghanistan, Kazemi Qomi, met with Dawood Sinirli Oglu, the UN special coordinator for Afghanistan affairs, at the study center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In this meeting, he once again emphasized on the formation of an inclusive government in Afghanistan and said that dialogue between Afghanistan people is the solution to political problems.
The head of Iran’s representative in Afghanistan added that according to the increase of Afghanistani immigrants after the Taliban came to power, there are currently about six million legal and illegal Afghanistani immigrants living in Iran.
He said that Iran hosts 5,000 Afghanistani immigrants daily and issues visas to 3,000 Afghanistani immigrants daily.
In addition, Kazemi Qomi said in this meeting that the Taliban group was not committed to the bilateral agreement between these two countries regarding the provision of Iran’s water rights and did not act on it.
Mr. Qomi added that there are currently nearly one million Afghanistani workers living in Iran, and according to him, the annual cost of these people is about 10 billion Dollars.
This is despite the fact that the officials of the Taliban group have been accused of not committing to the provision of water rights in this country.
