RASC: People complain about the low quality of telecommunication companies’ services and the high costs of Internet and call packages.

They say that they spend their money to activate Internet and telecommunication packages, but the services of telecommunication companies are very weak and unusable.

Janan, a resident of Kandahar city, told RASC: “I spend 1,000 to 1,500 Kabuli/Afghani rupees per month to activate the call and internet packages, but I am not satisfied with any of the telecommunication companies’ services because they don’t have a good quality.”

He also added; I tried several telecommunication companies, maybe one of them has good services, but unfortunately, none of them provide quality services to their customers and are not responsive to customers’ problems.

On the part of the Acting Ministry of Communications, the Taliban group had announced some time before the reduction of costs in voice and internet call packages, but it has not been implemented yet.

People also demand from the Taliban group to act as soon as possible and seriously in reducing the rates of voice and internet call packages.

Based on statistics, five telecommunications companies are currently operating in Afghanistan and their number of customers reaches 22 million, of which only 10 million use Internet services in Afghanistan.
