RASC News Agency: Local sources from Badghis province have reported a recent surge in violent incidents across the country, including the assassination of a tribal elder by unidentified gunmen. According to these sources, the incident occurred around 11:00 AM on Saturday, 27th of July, in the Nakchiristan area of Dara Boom district, Badghis province.

The tribal elder, identified as Alaaullah Khan, was a prominent leader of the Bayanzi tribe in Badghis. He was brutally shot by unknown assailants. It is reported that the motive behind the killing was a personal vendetta. The perpetrators successfully fled the scene after the assassination of Alaaullah Khan. The Taliban authorities in Badghis have yet to comment on the matter. This incident occurs amidst a notable increase in criminal activities across various provinces in the country.

Recently, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres highlighted a significant rise in insecurity in Afghanistan under Taliban rule. These developments stand in stark contrast to the Taliban’s claims of having established comprehensive security nationwide, as the reality reflects a worsening situation concerning public safety and security.
