RASC: Some residents of the Parian district in Panjshir say that members of the Taliban group force people to wash their dirty clothes.
One of the residents of “Korpitab” area of the Parian district said that the soldiers of the Taliban group bring their dirty clothes behind the gate of the houses and ask the local residents to wash these clothes. This local resident, who asked not to be identified, said that the Taliban group is also threatening the local residents. He stated: “In the Korpitab area of the Parian, in a house where there was no man, the Taliban had brought their clothes to wash. The woman of the house said that I am sick, I can’t clean. The Taliban said that we don’t understand anything anymore. If you wash, wash it, if you don’t wash, we will give you two shells as a gift.”
“Three Taliban Rangers came to our local market and said take these clothes and wash them,” a source said. An elder of our region said that last year your commander told us don’t wash the Taliban soldiers anymore. In response to that, a Taliban leader raised his weapon and said: “Don’t talk too much, are you going to take the clothes or not?” This source said that local residents were forced to take the clothes of Taliban members.
At the same time, the sources speak openly about the wrong behavior and singleness of the Taliban group against the innocent and civilian people. A source explained that a few days ago in the “werskab Valley” Taliban check point beat up eight farmers who were busy in swimming, arrested them for hour in their camps, and released after an hour.
Amnesty International has recently published a report saying that the Taliban have committed war crimes in Panjshir by punishing civilians and illegally executing prisoners of war. Agnes Kalamar, Secretary General of Amnesty International, said that the list of war crimes and other violations of international humanitarian rights by the Taliban in Panjshir is extensive. He added that the Taliban’s cruel tactic of targeting civilians suspected of belonging to the “Resistance Front” has caused widespread panic. The Secretary General of Amnesty International has said: “Thousands of people are drowning in the continuous oppression of the Taliban, which is clearly aimed at intimidation and punishment. The targeting of civilians by the Taliban in Panjshir must be stopped immediately.
