RASC: Amnesty International announced that the Taliban group committed war crimes during the clashes with National Resistance Front forces in Panjshir for at least two years.

In a report titled “Your sons are in the mountains”, this organization documented the extra-legal executions of National Resistance Front forces prisoners, group arrests of civilians, torture, forced migration, burning of houses and killing of civilians by the Taliban in Panjshir in a report titled “Your sons are in the mountains” and published

This organization has prepared its 40-page research report based on interviews with 29 Panjshir residents and analysis and review of reports, satellite images and videos published in the media and social networks.

According to this report, in one case in September last year, at least the Taliban near Panjshir Hazara Valley executed six to nine members of the resistance front.

Agnes Kalamar, Secretary General of Amnesty International, said in this report: “Taliban’s brutal treatment of ordinary people due to their connection with the resistance front has spread fear and helplessness among the people of Panjshir.”

Amnesty International added that the Taliban arrested three farmers and shepherds in Bazarak and Rukhah districts and killed them after torture.

Amnesty International has called for an “immediate” stop to targeted Taliban attacks on civilians in Panjshir.

The Taliban have not yet said anything about this report.

Previously, reports of human rights violations by the Taliban were published in Panjshir, but the Taliban are not accountable to any human rights organization.
