RASC: The court of the Taliban group publicly announced the punishment of two people accused of robbery in Khosh Amand district of Paktika province.

On Saturday, June 3, this court wrote in a statement that the Taliban security forces arrested them and both accused “confessed” to their crime.

Although the court statement of the Taliban group did not specify the method of punishment for these people, but a source says that the accused were whipped.

Almost last year, the Taliban started flogging people accused of various crimes, which is facing widespread reaction from human rights organizations and the international community.

On May 7, the United Nations published a report and announced that the Taliban had flogged 274 men, 58 women and two boys in public in the previous six months.

According to this report, the Taliban in public executed one person.

This organization has demanded an immediate end to the death penalty by the Taliban.
