RASC News Agency: Local sources in Kunar province have reported that two individuals were killed by ISIS fighters, suspected of spying for the Taliban. The incident took place in Dewa Gul Dara of Chowki district, as confirmed by sources on Sunday, January 21st. The victims were allegedly wearing orange clothes before facing beheading by the ISIS fighters.

As of now, no further information has been provided about the identity of the deceased individuals. Additionally, local officials of the Taliban group have not commented on this incident, despite the escalating activities of ISIS in certain districts of Kunar province.

It’s essential to note that this incident is not unprecedented. Earlier, in Chowki district of Kunar province, an individual was beheaded by ISIS fighters on charges of spying for the Taliban. This contradicts the Taliban group’s claims of maintaining national security in the country. The reports suggest a different reality, raising concerns about the presence and activities of terrorist groups in Afghanistan, particularly after the Taliban’s assumption of control.

The situation in Kunar province underscores the ongoing security challenges faced by Afghanistan. The increasing ISIS activities in specific districts raise alarms, especially given the Taliban’s governance. The lack of response from Taliban officials concerning this recent incident raises questions about their stance on such acts of violence.
