Involvement Among the Taliban Group and Civilians in Kunar Province

RASC: According to local sources in Kunar province, following the conflict between the Taliban group and civilians in this province over tithes, the fighters of this group injured two women with gunshots.

This event took place on Saturday, May 27, in Songoli village of Nari district.

According to the sources, the tension has arisen after a number of Taliban fighters led by Asluddin Ayubi from the local commander of the Taliban group went to the mentioned village and demanded payment of tithe from the agricultural products of the farmers.

The sources add that the local residents have asked this Taliban commander that they will pay their tithes not in the village but in the district.
