RASC: The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has hired 26 new teachers through open competition to strengthen female teachers in the teacher-training center of Logar province.

Mohammad Shah Poor Arab, the spokesperson of the Taliban’s Department of Education for Logar province, says that the exam of these teachers ended on Monday, May 22.

This number of teachers have been hired to train and improve the scientific level of teachers of twelve pass girls’ schools in a two-year period with the financial support of UNICEF.

40 female teachers with a bachelor’s degree participated in the competitive exam for these positions, of which 26 were successful and they are going to start their work as contract teachers soon.

Previously, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) assumed responsibility for paying teachers’ salaries throughout the country starting in 2022.

Teacher training in Logar province started its activity 16 years ago and has trained about 4500 male and female teachers professionally.
