RASC News Agency: Public sources in Ghor province say that the forces of the intelligence department of the Taliban attacked the office of the International Assistant Mission (IAM) in this province and arrested 18 employees of this institution, including women.
Public sources have told the media that the intelligence forces of the Taliban group raided the office of the International Assistant Mission in this province last Wednesday evening, September 13, and arrested 18 employees, including six female employees of this organization.
The sources added that last week, the Taliban group arrested a foreign doctor, the general manager of this organization’s office and a security guard of this organization while performing their duties from the center of “Lal and Sarjangal” district of Ghor province and transferred them to Kabul.
Another well-informed source says that the forces of the intelligence department of the Taliban group in Ghor province surrounded the IAM office at around 2:00 a.m. yesterday and did not allow the employees of this organization to leave until around 7:00 p.m.
According to the source, the members of the Taliban group had a list of employees of this institution with them and based on that, they arrested the employees.
The source adds that the Taliban group has warned other employees of this institution not to return to their duties until further notice. The source says that the Taliban group “Judid”, the American doctor of this institution, “Enjinir Reza”, the general manager of the office of this institution in “Lal and Sarjangal” district, and a bodyguard of this institution were arrested last week from the center of this district and transferred to Kabul.
Meanwhile, the relative of one of the employees of this institution who was arrested yesterday says that there is no information about their fate and the local authorities of the Taliban group have not informed them about this.
So far, this institution has not said anything to the media and reporters about the arrest of its employees in Ghor province.
It should be mentioned that the Institute of International Assistant Mission (IAM) is one of the international institutions in Afghanistan that provides services mostly in the field of environmental health and water supply in a number of provinces of the country.
