National Resistance Front Claims Dozens of Taliban Casualties in Recent Weeks

RASC News Agency: In recent weeks, Taliban fighters have faced a surge in attacks from armed opposition groups and unidentified assailants. Among these groups, the Afghanistani National Resistance Front (NRF) has claimed responsibility for a series of operations, stating that dozens of Taliban militants have been killed or wounded in its offensives. In the latest incident, the NRF announced that its forces launched a targeted attack on Taliban operatives in Kabul’s 12th Security District on Wednesday, January 29. According to an NRF statement, one Taliban fighter was killed and two others sustained injuries. The group further asserted that the targeted individuals were members of the Taliban’s intelligence unit.
Additionally, the NRF reported carrying out two more attacks earlier this week, leading to what it described as significant Taliban casualties. A recently released NRF communiqué stated that its forces successfully destroyed a Taliban military vehicle during their latest operation, emphasizing that no civilian casualties were reported. As of now, the Taliban have not issued any official response to these claims. The group typically refrains from commenting on NRF operations and other opposition-led attacks.
The NRF claims that over the past year, its fighters have killed and wounded hundreds of Taliban members, with the majority of these operations concentrated in Kabul, Parwan, Kapisa, and Laghman provinces. The group also asserts that its forces have sustained minimal losses in these engagements.
