RASC News Agency: Following the death of an Afghanistani worker in Turkey, his colleagues have sent a video to his wife, revealing that he had been negotiating the sale of his kidney before he was murdered. Two former coworkers of Wazir Mohammad Nortani, who had worked with him in a mine in Zonguldak, sent a video to his wife claiming that, prior to his death, he had been in negotiations with his employer over the sale of his kidney. The charred body of Wazir Mohammad Nortani, an Afghanistani worker, was discovered a year ago in a forest in Zonguldak. During forensic examinations, several of his body parts, including his left kidney, could not be identified.
As of now, a final ruling has yet to be issued for those responsible for his murder. According to the two former colleagues, who are now residing outside Turkey, his employer had offered him $10,000 in exchange for his kidney, but Nortani had demanded $30,000. The witnesses further claimed that, before leaving Turkey, they had been coerced into giving false testimonies, claiming they had no knowledge of the situation. Previously, Wazir Mohammad Nortani’s wife had asserted that her husband had been killed by his employer for refusing to sell his kidney.
Qamargul, his wife, told Turkish media, “I had always believed my husband was killed because he refused to sell his kidney, but after seeing this video, I am certain.” In connection with the case, six individuals, including the employer and several relatives, were arrested, with three subsequently released on bail. During earlier court proceedings, the employer and his relatives claimed that the worker had died in a workplace accident, and that they burned his body out of fear that the mine would be shut down.
