Taliban Infighting Over a Young Boy Ends in the Death of One Fighter

RASC News Agency: Local sources in Khost province report that an internal conflict among Taliban members over a young boy has led to the fatality of one of their fighters. Sources stated on Saturday, October 26, that the incident unfolded the day before in Zazi Maidan district.

The deceased, identified as Mullah Aziz Gul, was reportedly the head of the Taliban’s police training center in the district. According to these sources, the altercation erupted over a dispute involving a boy. Additional details have not been provided, and local Taliban authorities in Khost have yet to issue any statements on the incident.

This latest skirmish adds to a series of similar reports of Taliban infighting across Afghanistan. Just a few months prior, an internal Taliban clash in Takhar province left one fighter dead and three others wounded. While the Taliban claim to enforce Islamic Sharia, they remain enmeshed in corruption and moral depravity. The Taliban’s interpretation of Sharia appears to be blind to their own actions, as they consistently avoid acknowledging or condemning such incidents.

Over the past three years, reports of inhumane and un-Islamic actions by Taliban members from sexual abuse to the murder of innocent civilians have repeatedly surfaced, yet none of those involved have faced punishment. The Taliban’s approach to Islam selectively targets non-Taliban Afghanistanis and those who reject their rigid ideology. Under Taliban rule, self-preservation and power appear to be their primary objectives, with Islam merely serving as a tool to impose their will.
