RASC News Agency: The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan has reported the killing of the Taliban’s logistics chief from the Ministry of Interior in Takhar province. The Front stated that its forces targeted a vehicle carrying Mullah Noor Mohammad, the Taliban’s head of logistics for the Ministry of Interior, in the city of Taloqan, Takhar’s capital. As a result of the attack, the Taliban official and one of his associates were killed, while another member of the Taliban was injured.

According to a statement released by the Front, the attack took place today Saturday October 5, at approximately 12:45 p.m., in front of the “Mullah Abdul Wadood Shaheed High School” in Taloqan. The National Resistance Front further stated that Mullah Noor Mohammad is the father-in-law of the Taliban’s police chief in Takhar. The statement emphasized that no harm befell the Front’s forces during the operation, and all casualties were sustained by the Taliban. Meanwhile, health sources in Takhar reported that Mullah Noor Mohammad was critically injured in the attack, with both his legs severed. Medical professionals have indicated that his chances of survival are minimal.

The sources also confirmed that four children, aged ten, eleven, five, and four, were lightly wounded in the explosion. After receiving treatment, they were discharged from the hospital. Earlier today, local sources in Taloqan had verified the occurrence of an explosion targeting a vehicle belonging to the Taliban. As of yet, neither the local Taliban authorities in Takhar nor the Ministry of Interior has issued any statements regarding the incident.

This is the second attack by the National Resistance Front against the Taliban in the past 24 hours. Previously, the Front claimed responsibility for an explosion at a Taliban base in Panjshir, reporting that 13 Taliban members were killed and two others injured in the operation.
