RASC News Agency: The “Times of India”, citing security concerns and human rights violations, has identified six countries, including Afghanistan, Iran, Syria, Lebanon, Sudan, and Yemen, as the “most dangerous” destinations for travelers. In a report published on Wednesday, September 25, the media outlet emphasized that Afghanistan has experienced intense conflict in recent years.
According to the report, Afghanistani citizens particularly women are under constant threat. The report noted: “Since the Taliban regained power in 2021, Afghanistan has continued to suffer from widespread human rights abuses, especially against women, who are systematically excluded from public life.”
Furthermore, poverty in Afghanistan has deepened under Taliban rule, and women’s access to education and employment has been drastically curtailed. Since their return to power, the Taliban have been accused of systematically violating the rights of Afghanistani citizens, with ethnic and religious minorities and women bearing the brunt of these violations.
This is not the first time Afghanistan has been labeled the most dangerous country in the world; the Afghanistani people themselves are well aware that the current regime is unprecedented even by medieval standards. The Taliban appear intent on dragging Afghanistan back by a millennium. Despite these realities, several Western YouTubers, in collaboration with their respective intelligence agencies, have traveled to Afghanistan in recent years, reporting conditions in the country as “normal” a portrayal that Afghanistani citizens have strongly refuted.
