RASC News Agency: Following the public disclosure of a Taliban intelligence letter by the media, which implicated Abdul Karim Hasib, the Director General of Passports, in corruption, Taliban leader Mullah Hibatullah summoned him to Kandahar. A former CIA officer has now revealed that the Taliban distributed 6,000 passports to global terrorists. This former CIA officer indicated that when Hasib was initially summoned to Kandahar, it was widely speculated that the Taliban leader would dismiss and imprison him. However, after a brief period, Hasib resumed his duties as the Director General of Passports.
Sara Adams, a former CIA officer, stated, “The Taliban have issued more than 6,000 Afghanistani passports to global terrorists.” It appears that these passports were distributed during Hasib’s tenure. The former CIA officer further noted that the individual responsible for distributing these passports to terrorists within the Taliban’s Ministry of Interior is originally from Libya. According to Sara Adams, this Libyan individual, Abdul Azim Al-Mousa Bin Ali, is actively involved in operations within the Taliban’s Ministry of Interior.
Earlier this year, a document from the Taliban’s General Directorate of Intelligence was leaked to the media, revealing that several officials, including the Director General of Passports, had issued passports to foreign nationals. A source within the Taliban, who chose to remain anonymous, disclosed that a UN delegation had presented evidence to Taliban leaders indicating that these passports had been distributed among members of the Al-Qaeda network.
Following the media’s exposure of the Taliban’s intelligence letter and the subsequent corruption accusations against Abdul Karim Hasib, Mullah Hibatullah summoned him to Kandahar. At that time, there was widespread speculation that the Taliban leader would dismiss and imprison Hasib. However, after a brief period, Hasib was reinstated as Director General of Passports and continued with his previous duties.
Abdul Mateen Qani, a spokesperson for the Taliban’s Ministry of Interior, addressed the issue, stating, “Recently, protests related to land disputes occurred in Barikab, Nangarhar, and Mr. Hasib, along with some officials from the Ministries of Interior and Defense, were summoned to the leader’s office to clarify the matter.”
