Taliban in Kabul Gun Down Young Man for Overtaking Their Vehicle

RASC News Agency: Reports from Kabul reveal that Taliban forces have gunned down a newlywed young man for overtaking one of their Ranger vehicles in the city. Sources confirmed on Wednesday, August 14, that Taliban fighters fatally shot Hamid Jalal on Tuesday in the “Kart-e-Naw” area of Kabul, alleging that he had overtaken their vehicle. According to these sources, the Taliban forces opened fire on Jalal, hitting him twice in the head. He succumbed to his grievous injuries in the hospital.

Hamid Jalal, originally from Khogyani District in Nangarhar Province, was a recent graduate of the Faculty of Computer Science. He had only recently been married. It is crucial to note that violent actions by the Taliban are not isolated incidents. The group has previously shot and killed young men in various parts of Kabul for allegedly failing to comply with checkpoint orders. In a recent incident on July 3, Taliban forces shot another young man in the “Breshnakot” area of Kabul’s Seventh District.

Throughout their three years of rule, the Taliban have repeatedly employed extreme violence and oppressive measures against the citizenry. As the Taliban commemorate the third anniversary of their rule, it remains significant that no country has officially recognized the group due to their widespread violations of human rights.
