RASC News Agency: The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan asserts that its forces have recently carried out a covert operation on Taliban members in Kabul, resulting in the death of a Taliban checkpoint commander. According to a statement issued by the National Resistance Front, the assault took place around 8:30 PM on Sunday, July 21, in the Qala-e Haidar Khan area, located in the 13th security district of Kabul.
The statement claims that, in addition to the Taliban commander’s death, another member of the group was injured during the attack. The National Resistance Front’s statement further added, “Our forces sustained no injuries during this operation.” As of now, local Taliban officials in Kabul have not commented on the incident. Recently, opposition groups such as the National Resistance Front and the Afghanistan Freedom Front have intensified their attacks against Taliban members in various provinces.
In a recent incident, the Afghanistan Freedom Front claimed responsibility for an attack on Taliban members in Baghlan province last night, resulting in the death of Mullah Zarin Gujar, the Taliban’s head of transportation for the province. Since the Taliban’s takeover, opposition groups have emerged in response to the Taliban’s discriminatory and repressive actions against the country’s citizens, particularly non-Pashtun ethnic groups. These groups periodically report inflicting casualties on the Taliban.
