RASC News Agency: According to reliable sources from Kabul province, a senior Taliban intelligence operative fatally shot a young man in the Paghman district of the province. The victim had been acquitted by the group’s court, despite being implicated in his brother’s murder. Sources informed the media on Sunday, February 11th, that Allahmir, a senior Taliban intelligence member, shot Mansour, the aforementioned young man, a few days prior. This incident occurred after Mansour’s acquittal by the group’s court in the village of “Samochak” in Paghman district.
According to sources, Mansour had been detained by the Taliban almost a year ago on charges of killing Allahmir’s brother. However, eleven days before the shooting, he was declared innocent and acquitted by the group’s court. Sources further allege that Allahmir was complicit in the torture of Mansour during his captivity. Reports indicate that three years ago, unknown assailants murdered the brother of this Taliban intelligence member in the village of “Alahbali” within the same district.
Sources indicate that Mansour was a Twelfth grade student and was not involved in the killing of the Taliban intelligence member’s brother. The Taliban group has yet to issue a statement regarding this incident. This incident compounds previous reports of similar occurrences involving the killing of civilians by Taliban members across various provinces of the country. In a prior incident, according to reports, a guard of a Taliban official in the Imam Sahib district of Kunduz province shot and killed a woman along with her two children.
