RASC News Agency: Local sources from Khost province report that several members of the Taliban were beaten by residents for taking sides in a land dispute in the province. Sources informed the media on Wednesday, July 17, that this incident occurred the previous day in the village of “Kotkio,” within Bak district of Khost province.

According to these sources, more than three Taliban members were beaten by locals after they interfered in a conflict over land ownership among the residents. Following this incident, several local residents were reportedly imprisoned by the Taliban. This is not an isolated event; similar incidents have occurred in various provinces, with Taliban members often displaying partial behavior.

In a recent case, a local Taliban commander in Sabari district of this province attempted to seize land from a resident, but faced strong opposition from the community. It is noteworthy that since the Taliban’s takeover of the country, they have frequently employed violent tactics against citizens and have seized lands in several provinces.

Recently, local sources in Badakhshan reported that Juma Khan Fateh, the Taliban governor for the Darwaz districts, had confiscated private lands and sold them to his associates. According to sources, over 700 acres of agricultural land and approximately 3,000 acres of pastureland belonging to residents in the villages of Sandak, Balhada, and Rigvarg have been converted into a township by this Taliban member.

Sources indicate that Juma Khan Fateh mapped out and subdivided these lands into residential plots, selling each plot for fifty thousand kabuli rupees.
