RASC News Agency: Two separate traffic incidents in the districts of Tagab and Raghistan in Badakhshan province have resulted in six injuries. The Taliban’s media office in Badakhshan reported on Wednesday, June 26, that the first incident occurred in the village of Korsedeh, Tagab district, due to a collision between a Land Cruiser and a Toyota Corolla vehicle.
According to Taliban press statements, four individuals, including a child, were injured in this incident and have been transported to the district’s healthcare center for treatment. The second incident took place in the Sadasht area of Kalar village, Raghistan district, when a pickup truck veered off the road and overturned into a ravine. In this incident, two individuals were injured and are currently receiving medical care.
These incidents come against the backdrop of recent data from Badakhshan’s traffic management, which indicates that 46 people have died and 75 others have been injured in 45 traffic accidents across various parts of the province in the first three months of this year. Meanwhile, sources from Herat province report that a traffic accident in this province has resulted in three deaths and six injuries.
Abdulrahim Rahmani, the deputy governor of Kushk Rabat Sangi district in Herat, stated that a collision between a trailer truck and a Toyota Corolla vehicle on the Torghundi highway in the Bugharchar area resulted in three fatalities and six injuries. Deputy Governor Rahmani explained that the accident occurred when the trailer truck, moving towards the city, stopped due to a malfunction, and the speeding Toyota Corolla vehicle collided with it.
Rahmani added that the incident took place at 5 PM today, noting that the Toyota Corolla vehicle was heading towards Gulran district. The deputy governor also mentioned that the deceased and injured have been transferred to the provincial hospital.
