RASC News Agency: Local sources from Bamyan province report that eight individuals, including four foreign tourists, have been attacked by unidentified gunmen in the region. Sources have informed the media that the incident occurred around 5:00 PM on Friday, May 17, in an area within Bamyan province.

According to the sources, the attack resulted in the deaths of at least eight people, comprising four foreign nationals and four Afghanistani citizens. Medical sources from Bamyan Provincial Hospital have reported that six injured individuals, all Afghanistani nationals, have been transferred to the hospital for treatment.

The Taliban have confirmed the incident, asserting that the attack did not specifically target foreign nationals. The identities of the victims remain unknown, and no group has claimed responsibility for the attack thus far. This incident occurs against the backdrop of the Taliban’s ongoing claims of ensuring the safety and security of the populace, despite reports suggesting otherwise.
