RASC News Agency: Local sources from Panjshir province state that a schoolteacher from the province’s capital has been arrested by Taliban forces. Sources informed the media on Monday, May 6, that the Taliban’s police command in Panjshir arrested the teacher on Saturday.

According to the sources, the teacher’s name is Mujibullah Khaled Adeeb, who taught at Wali Mohammad Shaheed Boys High School in Panjshir’s capital. The reason for the teacher’s arrest by Taliban forces in Panjshir province remains unclear. According to local sources, the teacher was engaged in his regular teaching duties and did not have known connections with anti-Taliban political groups or factions.

Local Taliban authorities in Panjshir province have not yet commented on the teacher’s arrest. Previously, residents of Panjshir province have frequently been arrested by Taliban members on charges of ties to the “National Resistance Front of Afghanistan.”
