National Human Rights Report: Taliban Presence in Afghanistan Revives Terrorist Groups

RASC News Agency: The National Human Rights Organization, in its annual report, notes that the ascendance of the Taliban in Afghanistan has revitalized and bolstered dozens of other terrorist groups. The report underscores that terrorist organizations such as Al-Qaeda, Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, ISIS, Jamaat Ansarullah, the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, and the Haqqani network have all found renewed support and strength under the Taliban’s aegis in Afghanistan, leading to an expansion of their activities.

In a meeting held on Monday, April 29, the organization stated that terrorist attacks both within and beyond the region indicate the intensification of terrorist factions emanating from Afghanistan, which is under the control of another terrorist group. The report stresses that while the Taliban claim to enhance security throughout Afghanistan, terrorist attacks on schools and religious sites within the country continue.

The report reveals that the families of victims of terrorist attacks remain uninformed and excluded from the investigative processes surrounding the loss of their loved ones. According to the report, the Taliban occasionally claim they are investigating explosions that target civilians, yet the families of victims have not been briefed on the outcomes of these investigations.
