RASC News Agency: Local Taliban officials in Badakhshan province have reported that a lightning strike in the Shahr-e Buzurg district claimed the life of a 15-year-old boy. The Taliban police in Badakhshan informed the media on Monday, April 22, that the incident occurred the previous night in the village of Katak Payan within the Shahr-e Buzurg district.

The boy was reportedly burned by the lightning strike. In recent weeks, several provinces across the country have experienced heavy rainfall, which has led to an increase in lightning strikes. In addition to lightning, recent days have seen flash floods and the destruction of homes due to heavy rain in several provinces, resulting in casualties and injuries.

Earlier, the Taliban Ministry of Disaster Management reported that 29 people had died due to heavy rain and floods in the past three days across the country. The ministry stated that 29 people died from rainfall and floods in the past three days across 10 provinces, while seven others were injured.

According to the Taliban Ministry of Disaster Management, heavy rain and floods last week claimed the lives of over 70 people, and the death toll from floods in the country reached 100 in the past 10 days.
