RASC News Agency: Local sources from Kandahar province have reported a recent suicide by a young boy in the region, ending his life. Sources informed the media on Thursday, April 18th, that the incident took place yesterday afternoon in the Spin Boldak district of Kandahar. The young boy, identified as Sayed Ahmad, was 14 years old.

According to sources, Sayed Ahmad took his own life due to economic hardships. He had requested money from his father, who refused, ultimately leading to the outcome. The occurrence of this event has been confirmed by the security leadership of the Taliban in Kandahar, stating that the victim committed suicide following a dispute with his father.

In recent months, there has been a surge in suicide incidents across various provinces of the country, attributed to economic challenges, family violence, and Taliban restrictions. During the days of Eid al-Fitr, four suicide attempts by girls were reported in Badakhshan province.

Following their transfer to the hospital, these girls received treatment and were saved from death. The cause of the suicide attempts by these four girls in Badakhshan is reported to be family violence.
