RASC News Agency: The latest analysis from the American newspaper The Hill asserts that Obama, Trump, and Biden inherited the consequences of Afghanistan’s failed war due to their endorsement of the “short-sighted” agreement with the Taliban. The Hill America reported today, Wednesday, March 27th, that the Doha agreement was deemed “short-sighted,” with the then-Secretary of State opposing its signing and delegating responsibility to the U.S. special envoy for Afghanistan.
Referring to the inadequacy of reinforcing George Bush’s “democracy building” narrative in Afghanistan and Iraq, The Hill contends that Obama, Trump, and Biden bear responsibility for America’s failure in these nations. The newspaper further elaborates that Donald Trump’s actions in signing the Doha agreement expedited Afghanistan’s failure, as despite a specified 14-month timeframe for the withdrawal of U.S. troops, it assured the Taliban of America’s unwavering departure.
The Hill characterizes the agreement’s signing as “short-sighted,” noting that Mike Pompeo, the former U.S. Secretary of State, abstained from signing it and delegated responsibility to Zalmay Khalilzad. Following the Moscow terrorist incident, global threats from extremist groups, such as France’s issuance of the highest security alert due to potential terrorist attacks, have escalated.
Tom Caton remarked after the Moscow incident that the ISIS attack reflects the regrettable consequences of Biden’s disastrous policies regarding Afghanistan’s withdrawal. It is noteworthy that Mac Call, the chairman of the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee, advocated for assessing ISIS capabilities in Afghanistan before the U.S. withdrawal, with another senator calling for U.S. attacks on ISIS targets in the country.
