RASC News Agency: Sources in Daikundi province say that the intelligence of the Taliban group in the center of this province arrested the manager and two journalists of “Radio Nasim” and “sealed” the gate of this media.
Sources have told the media that the Taliban group entered the office of “Radio Nasim” around 12 o’clock on Wednesday, September 27, and arrested two reporters of this local media, Mojtaba Qasemi and Saifullah Rezaei.
According to the sources, Sultan Ali Jawadi, the manager of “Radio Nasim” was also arrested by the intelligence forces of the Taliban group from economic department of Daikundi province in Nili city around 1:00 am yesterday.
According to the sources, these three journalists were in the Taliban intelligence prison until around five o’clock PM, and they were released after giving a promise.
According to the sources, the mobile phones of these journalists remained with the intelligence of the Taliban group.
At the same time, the sources said that the intelligence of the Taliban group has asked these local reporters to answer their questions and after that, the radio will be allowed to resume broadcasting.
The reason for the temporary arrest of the manager and reporters of “Radio Nasim” by the Taliban has not been clarified until now.
The local officials of the Taliban group in Daikundi province have not commented on this.
This is despite the fact that the Taliban group had detained several journalists in Ghazni, Uruzgan, Kandahar, Nangarhar, Kunduz, Paktia, Khost and other provinces in the past weeks, and these journalists were released after a few days.
According to the information of the Afghanistan Journalists Center, two journalists and a media worker are currently in the prison of the Taliban group.
According to the information of this center, Mortaza Behbodhi, an Afghanistani-French journalist, and Aminullah Alami, owner and manager of the local radio “Mumtaz” in Faryab province, are still in the custody of the Taliban group.
