RASC News Agency: Sources have informed the media that a female student in Nimroz Province has been subjected to sexual assault by two men. The sources disclosed on Sunday, March 24th, that this girl, aged eight years, was sexually assaulted by two males while she was engaged in the study of religious knowledge in a homestead school.

It has been added by the sources that this young girl faced the assault in the “Kakaran” area, pertaining to the city of Zaranj, the capital of Nimroz Province. The sources have alluded to the fact that even though the family of the girl approached the security domain of the Taliban group for help, the group has yet to address or take action regarding the case of this girl.

The family of the assaulted girl has described her health condition as troubling. This incident comes at a time when the Taliban authorities in Nimroz Province have maintained silence on the matter. It is noteworthy that religious schools are increasingly utilized as alternatives to traditional schools, following the Taliban group’s ban on girls’ attendance at schools and universities.

Previously, the exploitation of children in religious schools under Taliban administration has raised concerns among human rights organizations.
