RASC News Agency: In an ongoing endeavor to render assistance to vulnerable households across diverse provinces within the nation, officials affiliated with the Taliban have disclosed that international institutions have proffered support to more than 4,000 destitute households spanning two provinces. On December 19th, the Department of Rural Rehabilitation and Development within the Taliban apparatus in Ghor unveiled that the World Food Program (WFP) has extended food aid to 2,741 households in the Pasaband district of this province.

Concurrently, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Aid (OCHA) in Faryab proclaimed the distribution of aid to 1,750 households in said province, with ongoing dispensations underway. The contributed materials encompass indispensable commodities such as flour, oil, rice, beans, macaroni, blankets, and hygiene products, as attested by the beneficiaries.

Notwithstanding antecedent reports detailing aid disbursement to indigent households by international entities across various provinces in the nation, these recent initiatives underscore the sustained assistance being delivered. It is paramount to accentuate that Afghanistan has witnessed a noteworthy upswing in poverty and unemployment rates over the preceding biennium, precipitating an economic crisis.

Certain citizens have articulated apprehensions, positing that the Taliban faction allocates aid selectively to individuals affiliated with their own cadre. Nevertheless, the Taliban consistently rebuffs these allegations. The dire milieu of poverty and unemployment has compelled numerous youth to seek gainful employment in neighboring nations like Iran and Pakistan to meet their fundamental needs.
