RASC News Agency: In the aftermath of an assault by the National Resistance Front forces on a Taliban outpost in Nahr-e-Chaman, the Taliban group has apprehended five individuals, accusing them of affiliating with this front. Sources have informed the media today, Mar 25, that these five individuals were seized from the city of Taluqan, the capital of Takhar province, on Saturday.
Local sources indicate that these individuals are indigenous residents of “Nahr-e-Chaman” in the city of Taluqan, whom the Taliban group detained from their residences and relocated to an undisclosed facility. It is alleged that this group instigated a door-to-door search following the assault by the National Resistance Front forces on Sunday, Mar 24, targeting an outpost of the Taliban, resulting in the fatality of one Taliban member and the injury of three others.
Meanwhile, the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan has refrained from commenting on the alleged affiliation of the detained individuals with this front. It’s noteworthy that prior to this incident, the Taliban group detained three mosque imams for omitting the name of the leader of this group during Friday prayer sermons, and one young man from the Andarab district, whose fate remains uncertain.
