RASC News Agency: Amidst the ongoing wave of mysterious and targeted killings, local sources from Faryab province report the recent murder of a man named Abdul Jalil in the Pashtun Kot district of the province. Sources informed the media on Monday, Feb 19, that Abdul Jalil’s body was recently discovered in a canal in the village of Jamshidi, on the outskirts of the lush area of Pashtun Kot district in this province.
According to sources, Abdul Jalil, the primary breadwinner of the “Hazara Qala” locality in Pashtun Kot district, had traveled to the city of Maimana last Thursday morning and was later killed by unknown assailants. Sources further add that Abdul Jalil was a laborer and had no personal enmity with anyone. According to sources, he leaves behind eight children. This occurs as, following the Taliban’s seizure of the country, the incidence of criminal activities, notably mysterious and targeted killings, armed robberies, and abductions, has risen in various parts of the nation.
In a recent incident, unidentified armed individuals murdered a man named Abdul Rahman in the vicinity of the Zaranj-Delaram highway in Nimroz province. It is noteworthy that these incidents unfold while the Taliban group has consistently asserted that nationwide security prevails in the country, ensuring the safety of people’s lives and property.
