RASC News Agency: Some doctors at the provincial hospital in Parwan allege that the Afghanistan Family Care Institution (CAF) has deducted 40% of their February salaries. Preferring anonymity, they informed the media on Sunday, March 17th, that for the past year, the “CAF” institution, under the supervision of the Taliban health authority in Parwan, has been responsible for remunerating all employees at the provincial hospital.

They claim that the one-year contract with the CAF institution has expired, and this entity has withheld approximately 40% of the salaries of certain provincial hospital doctors. However, officials from the Afghanistan Family Care Institution (CAF) refute the allegations, asserting that they have fully disbursed the salaries of all provincial hospital staff.

Officials of this institution remarked: “Perhaps ill-intentioned individuals have propagated misinformation. Only management salaries pertaining to internal operations of the institution remain outstanding, to be settled by the institution itself after concluding its internal procedures.”

This situation arises as, post the Taliban’s assumption of power in the country, the healthcare system confronts numerous challenges due to budget cuts and dwindling international aid, placing it on the brink of collapse.
