A fatal skin disease has resulted in the deaths of ten children in Paktika province

RASC News Agency: Local media channels from Paktika province are reporting the emergence of a deadly skin disease affecting children in the area. Local sources confirmed to the media on Monday, April 15th, that ten children have succumbed to this unidentified skin disease thus far.

 

Sources further revealed that this unidentified skin disease has been spreading in the Yahyakhel district over the past week. Meanwhile, health authorities in Yahyakhel district have verified that approximately six children afflicted with this disease are currently hospitalized.

 

According to them, this disease is contagious, and the presence of small blisters on the skin, accompanied by high fever and sore throat, serve as indicators of infection. Previously, an unidentified skin disease had also spread among both adults and children in Bamyan province.
