RASC News Agency: The Ministry of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada has announced that, as part of the ongoing transfer of Afghanistani refugees to the country, 333 Afghanistanis have recently been relocated from Pakistan to the city of Calgary, Canada, via a charter flight. According to a statement released by the ministry on the social media platform X, these individuals were transported from Pakistan to Canada on March 8th.

The Ministry of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada has indicated that these refugees are expected to be resettled in 33 locations, including Toronto. The ministry also noted that following the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan, 49,070 individuals have been relocated to the country. Canada’s Afghanistani refugee acceptance program, initially comprising 40,000 individuals, has been completed after the Taliban’s takeover. However, Canada recently announced its intention to continue transferring Afghanistanis, especially from Pakistan.

This development occurs as a significant number of citizens, due to oppressive restrictions and threats from the Taliban, are leaving the country in search of asylum in third countries following the Taliban’s assumption of control. These individuals encompass journalists, former government officials, civil activists, and those who collaborated with institutions and international forces in Afghanistan.
