RASC News Agency: Antonio Guterres, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, recently announced that from November 1, 2023, to January 10 of this year, the Freedom Front executed 24 confirmed attacks against Taliban forces. This revelation emerged from a quarterly report by the Secretary-General of the United Nations on the Afghanistan situation, issued by the UN Office in Afghanistan on Wednesday, Mar 6.
Antonio Guterres asserted in his quarterly report that armed adversaries of the Taliban have not managed to mount any territorial challenge against the group. In his quarterly report, Antonio Guterres pointed out that assessing the capabilities of anti-Taliban military factions is “challenging” due to the unverifiable nature of many claims regarding their attacks on social media.
Further specifics from this report have not been disclosed yet. Meanwhile, several anti-Taliban factions have claimed responsibility for assaults against Taliban strongholds and members subsequent to the group’s assumption of power in the country. Nevertheless, the Taliban have either refuted many of these assaults or left them unaddressed. In response, certain individuals have faced arrests, imprisonment, torture, and even execution on allegations of affiliation with these factions.
