RASC News Agency: Mohammad Sharif Abu Asim Osmani, the designated head of the Taliban for Balkh University, has recently urged all lecturers at Balkh University to participate in Quran translation and interpretation classes. The letter, which was released to the public on Thursday, Feb 22, outlines that these classes will occur during the months of Sha’ban and Ramadan for all lecturers, administrative staff, and service personnel of the university.

Additionally, Mohammad Sharif Abu Asim Osmani stated that these classes will convene daily for two months at 11:30 AM, preceding lunchtime, in the new university hall, the central university, and the Faculty of Education and Training, stressing that attendance is compulsory. Furthermore, it is mentioned in this communication that this resolution was reached during a provincial administrative assembly in Balkh, and the designated head of the Taliban for Balkh University has mandated the swift implementation of this decision.

This development coincides with the Taliban’s two-year governance in Afghanistan, during which they have enforced numerous restrictions on the country’s populace, asserting that these measures align with Islamic Sharia law.
